A Thyroid Gland That is Not in Balance Can Cause A Number of Issues!
For a lot of the last century, we didn't pay much attention to the thyroid or if it was in or out of balance. Instead, the causes of symptoms like an inability to drop extra, unwanted pounds, frequently feeling cold, or loss of energy were often assigned to menopause, aging or stress. The thyroid can be easily effected by pollution, toxins, poor diet and stress. Today, we are better able to test the thyroid to get to the cause of these issues.
The TSH hormone, produced by the pituitary gland, sends instructions to the thyroid to produce thyroid hormones including T3 (triiodthyronine) and T4 (thyroxine). While T4 impacts your metabolism and is the thyroid hormone with the highest amount in your body, it is still important to check all thryroid hormones to get the whole picture of what is taking place.
You could be feeling the signs that your Thyroid is out of balance if you experience:
- Fatigue
- Digestion issues such as bloating, constipation, diarrhea
- Skin/hair problems such as brittle, coarse or hair that breaks or falls out easily, or skin that is coarse, scaly, thick, or dry.
- Anxiety or Depression
- Menstrual changes
- Fertility issues
Whenever one or more hormones is imbalanced, remember that the imbalance can affect all of our hormones since they are all closely connected.

NOTE: Per state laws, if you live in California, and only if you would like to receive one of the saliva, blood or urine tests, you will need to email us a prescription from a medical practitioner (could be a physician, physician's assistant, naturopath etc.) in order for us to process your order and send you your test. New York residents may not receive tests per state laws. Perhaps having these tests shipped to you outside of California or New York may be a good option. The Air Quality tests and Pet tests do NOT need a prescription and can be sent anywhere needed.
