Hormone Balance Information
Hormone Imbalance and How It is Caused
How long ago was it that you felt your best... when little things didn't upset you and you didn't feel like you just weren't yourself? What happened to the you who was able to take on the world at the blink of an eye?
For many women, premenopause begins as early as their thirties. Premenopause is defined as those years prior to menopause when the balance of hormones begins to change. First, progesterone levels begin to drop. In fact, progesterone levels can plummet quickly and often far more rapidly than other hormones. Low progesterone sets off a domino effect of hormone imbalance in your body that affects your feelings, your thinking and your sense of well being. When your progesterone levels drop, estrogen becomes the dominant hormone and the hormone imbalance that causes PMS, hot flashes, insomnia, fatigue, low libido, irregular periods, night sweats, foggy thinking, weight gain and more symptoms is born.
In hormone imbalance, you may actually have low estrogen levels, even with low progesterone levels and your dominant estrogen levels. With low estrogen levels you may experience very uncomfortable hot flashes and cold chills.
Achieving Natural Hormone Balance
Natural hormone replacement therapy consists of natural hormones found in nature that are made up of elements similar to the female hormones needed in premenopause and menopause. Natural hormones, such as natural progesterone, have been proven to be highly effective at greatly reducing and even eliminating the symptoms of hormone imbalance.
